Continuing Education Schedule

I provide social work continuing education (CE) workshops for licensed social workers in Alabama (ABSWE Provider #0828), including LMSWs and LICSWs. My continuing education programs focus on clinical practice, including DSM-5-TR updates, trauma-informed care, supervision, and many more clinical interventions. I am very happy to have colleagues from other disciplines, such as LPCs, LMFTs, and Psychologists in my workshops. Please check with your board to determine if my CEs are eligible for your disciplines.

Continuing Education for Professional Growth

DSM 5-TR

Take the 3 hour "Essentials" DSM 5-TR course for a good overview of the DSM and major classes of mental disorders. And then look for specialized areas (3 hours each), such as Personality Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders, where we will go for a much deeper dive into these important and fascinating domains.

Therapeutic Interventions

In these courses, we will delve into psychotherapeutic domains such as Motivational Interviewing, Rogerian Psychotherapy, Attachment Theory, and the Neurobiologically- Based approaches.

Supervision

In Alabama, LICSW practitioners must complete a 1-time, 16-hour Supervision CE and then 3-hour CEs for every renewal period. My colleague, Dr. Rachel Copeland, and I will provide these together. Our time will be packed with helpful models, numerous cases, numerous resources, and opportunities to apply skills.
