Many practitioners learn Motivational Interviewing as a collection of techniques, yet its effectiveness is rooted in a deeper philosophy of human change. This workshop includes numerous video demonstrations and will provide participants with opportunities to observe these skills in action and translate concepts into clinical practice. Additionally, this workshop connects the Rogerian foundations of Motivational Interviewing , emphasizing empathy, autonomy, collaboration, and respect for the client's expertise in their own life. Participants will examine how these principles intersect with the work of Carl Rogers, Brené Brown, and Irvin Yalom, creating conversations that foster authenticity, trust, and growth.
